The match saw strong performances in every phase of attack and defense. When the good guys in bright green did give up possession, Warner Bros. had very little time to set any sustained or coordinated attack. In offense, Typhoon continued to display a confidence and chemistry that propelled them to a summer 2009 championship.
Scoring seven goals usually means victory - especially when those goals come from strikers, midfielders and defenders. Typhoon showed that as a team, they were a formidable offensive force. Mike, Ben and Gus each grabbed a goal apiece, while Edu and Radu each bagged a brace.
Typhoon FC meets Warner Bros. again on Saturday, December 5th at 9am. Although former US national team midfielder Cobi Jones was set to take the field for WB in their second game, Typhoon FC isn't worried. A source close to the team was quoted as saying Jones "doesn't wake up that early so we should be fine."
Typhoon puts its 1-0 record on the line November 15th against Esbjerg FC.
