Typhoon FC Logo by David Shaban
I am pleased to share with everyone the prototypes that David has put together for our team logo.
Excellent job Dave and thank you for taking the time to do this.
As a sidenote, David is a graphic designer and programmer and you can learn more about him by visiting his website davidshaban.com.It is worth a visit.
The goal is to finalize the logo in time for the beginning of next season and incorporate it in our jersey as well as in our blog and twitter presence online.
There are a few flavors of the logo (different colors and fonts) and you are welcome to provide feedback in the comments area of this article.

Typhoon FC 6, Esbjerg FC 4
On a beautiful, sunny Sunday morning, Typhoon FC continued their winning ways as they defeated a plucky Esbjerg FC 6-4 at Playa Vista.
In what was an engaging, sometimes tense affair, Typhoon managed to take the upper hand through timely defending and quality finishing. Although Typhoon never trailed in the match, Esbjerg did manage to tie the match three times, with strong outside shooting, lucky bounces, and one fine header. Yet Typhoon rose to the challenge each time, responding with fine goals of their own.
Striker/Midfielder Edu recorded the Green Machine's first goal of the match. Striker Radu once again showed why he can draw a crowd of markers as he powered a staggering 5 goals past the Esbjerg 'keeper.
Despite the dominant striking, the match remained close until the final stretch. It was a period reminiscent of the end of a tight hockey match, as the Esbjerg goalkeeper joined the attack as his side searched for an equalizer. Indeed, it was the goalkeeper who launched a dipping shot from about 15 yards that proved the most difficult test of the morning for Typhoon 'keeper Dan. The shot was turned aside, however, the ball quickly put back into play and then cooly slotted into the goal by Radu to ensure that the club's record stayed perfect.
Typhoon FC look to build upon their success Saturday, November 21st at 2pm against undefeated Internazionale LA at Playa Vista.

Warner Bros. Records 1, Typhoon FC 7: With CD sales falling, Typhoon FC delivers more bad news for the record industry.
At every level of soccer, the start of a new season brings certain questions. "Will my side be better than last year?" "Will they gel as a side?" "Will they be able to score?" For Typhoon FC, the answers to all those questions was a resounding yes on November 7 as they cruised to victory over Warner Brothers Records.
The match saw strong performances in every phase of attack and defense. When the good guys in bright green did give up possession, Warner Bros. had very little time to set any sustained or coordinated attack. In offense, Typhoon continued to display a confidence and chemistry that propelled them to a summer 2009 championship.
Scoring seven goals usually means victory - especially when those goals come from strikers, midfielders and defenders. Typhoon showed that as a team, they were a formidable offensive force. Mike, Ben and Gus each grabbed a goal apiece, while Edu and Radu each bagged a brace.
Typhoon FC meets Warner Bros. again on Saturday, December 5th at 9am. Although former US national team midfielder Cobi Jones was set to take the field for WB in their second game, Typhoon FC isn't worried. A source close to the team was quoted as saying Jones "doesn't wake up that early so we should be fine."
Typhoon puts its 1-0 record on the line November 15th against Esbjerg FC.
